In 1999, we did the Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada with Kai's 406, Dan Johnson's 404 and my 411. On the approach to Cadillac Hill, leaving Rubicon Spring, we encountered a mud hole so deep that we nearly did an endo. Kathleen was driving and we plunged the front into the icy water, stabbing the frame rails deep into the clay-based mud at the bottom of the hole. The hole was so deep that both rear wheels were totally in the air. Kathleen managed to weasel the 411 out without the requirement to get muddy. Note the big goobers of muck stuck on the frame rails.
