The Big Sluice is gnarly, to say the least.  It is much worse this time that I recall.  However, word around the campfire is that the Pirates of the Rubicon 4X4 Club have been doing some ad-hoc trail work to make the trail tougher.  There were some huge boulders in the center of this section of the trail.
